The “Healing of America” Seminar Series

New seminar series focuses on the need to renew the American spirit of our founding fathers and the inalienable rights of mankind

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – October 6, 2011 – The Thomas Jefferson Center for Constitutional Studies announced its seminar series “The Healing of America.”  This seminar is designed to help citizens learn the meaning and importance of our Constitution and how the truths contained in the Declaration of Independence are the very foundation of our nation.

The Thomas Jefferson Center bases these seminars on the landmark books: The Making of America, The 5,000 Year Leap, and The Majesty of God’s Law, all written by W. Cleon Skousen.  Also included are selected quotes from the book 1776 by David McCullough.

“There is no other program that will give a more in-depth understanding of the founding of this country and our divinely inspired Constitution than the Healing of America,” said Dr. Don Sills, board of directors of the Thomas Jefferson Center for Constitutional Studies.

Dr. Glenn Kimber, President of the Thomas Jefferson Center said, “Our nation’s greatest need is for us to rededicate ourselves to the principles of our Founding Fathers and the priceless freedom they gave us. These seminars and programs will appeal to every American who believes the Creator endowed all men with basic rights and that government derives its power from the people.  Each participant will come away with confidence in their under-standing of the Constitution and how they can be a positive influence in their community, state, and nation.”

Because of the current polarized political environment and the desire of concerned citizens to return to the Founders’ original principles, it became apparent to Dr. Kimber and Dr. Sills that these seminars needed to be presented throughout the country. The series includes four seminars. “God’s Hand in the Building of America,” “The Lord’s Charter of Freedom,” “The Unhinging of America,” and “The Healing of America.” Each of these consists of four (2.5 hour) classes.

In the great formative period of the United States two centuries ago, the American Founding Fathers became acutely aware that all mankind is seeking the same three things:

1. Freedom
2. Prosperity
3. Peace

They set out to find a system of government that would provide these for the people of America. That is why this course is so important. The Founding Fathers laid the foundation for us. WE MUST PRESERVE IT. To do so we have to know what their success formula consisted of. We need to also understand the experiences that their Creator put them through. These personal experiences taught them what they would need to do and why.

This first seminar, called “God’s Hand in the Building of America,” will show you what the Founding Fathers learned in their Creator’s “University of Hard Knocks,” so they would be “raised up unto this very purpose.”

My dear friends,

Please let me take a few minutes and talk to you about one of the most exciting things that is happening in America today. It is called the “Healing of America” seminar series presented by the Thomas Jefferson Center for Constitutional Studies, co-founded by W. Cleon Skousen.

Are you as tired as I am of all the negative attacks against this great land?  As you know, all over America we are hearing negative attacks, not only against America, but against almost all this countries leaders.

Like you, everywhere I go, I hear people complaining, attacking, and spreading discord and fear to the point that many are becoming very discouraged and in too many cases, even frantic.

Are these accusations true? What is to be done!  Is it too late to save America!

This is why the Thomas Jefferson Center for Constitutional studies is launching their brand-new seminar series entitled the “Healing of America”.  This seminar series is composed of four separate seminars for approximately 12 hours each. It is full of positive, upbeat and hopeful information while at the same time exposes the students to the documentation as to what is really happening to America.  Not so we can ignore the problems but so we can know how to help fix them.
